Gessner Engineering provided civil, structural and geotechnical engineering services for this one-story, stone veneer building with two drive-through canopies and associated parking totaling approximately 13,235 square feet. For geotechnical engineering, subsurface conditions were evaluated by drilling three test bore holes to a depth of 6 feet within the limits of the proposed parking lot and three test borings to a depth of 20 feet within the limits of the proposed building. Gessner Engineering recommended a slab-on-grade foundation system. Structural engineering services included sizing grade beams and reinforcement. Gessner Engineering provided concrete specifications for this project. The civil design for this facility included the grading and drainage for the entire site, design of service utility lines and coordination with the local water and sanitary sewer service providers, paving and joint layout, and an erosion control plan.
