Gessner Engineering provided civil and structural engineering services for the Aquilla ISD Expansion. This site proved to be challenging due to the lack of existing on-site drainage. The project scope consisted of a multi-phase expansion design including the demolition of the existing gymnasium and small structures, the construction of a new gymnasium, new library, new band hall, associated sidewalks and parking. The total area of the new additions will be approximately 21,000 square feet. The civil site design included utilities, paving and a drainage channel to help solve current drainage issues for the entire campus.
