Passionate Students

Gessner Engineering offers engineering internships for civil engineering and surveying students who have completed their sophomore year of college. Internships vary depending on the individual’s location and emphasis of study. Those enrolled in a college near one of our locations may intern part time during the school year and part or full time during school breaks. Those enrolled in colleges farther away must intern full-time during their summer break. Housing is provided near the main office in College Station for those interning over the summer, who are not local.

Civil engineering interns work with the Civil, Geotechnical or Structural teams depending on the student’s emphasis of study. Our team approach to project management allows interns to observe all aspects of a project while working directly with Professional Engineers and EITs.

Surveying interns will work in the field as well as the office, giving them an opportunity to learn all aspects of the profession. Surveying interns will work directly with the Party Chief, RPLS and the Civil Team on a variety of projects.

Opportunities for academic scholarships and full-time positions upon graduation are available. If you are interested in gaining an internship, apply here!
